Thomas Diary - A walk through my life

On the 31st Jan 2014, I attended a special meeting organized by the City Revival ministries, led by Pastor Sajith Joseph, a handsome young man from Kerala, gifted in the word of Knowledge and Prophecy.

He spoke about the scribes and pharisees who were extremely self-righteous. They took pride in Moses law and were self-satisfied. The Bible says when you remove spiritual pride from your life, you’re blessed.

Matthew 5:3-10

3 Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

4 Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.

5 Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.

6 Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.

7 Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.

8 Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.

9 Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.

10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

The beatitudes are the fruit of the Spirit when you receive Jesus in your life.

Galatians 5:19-23

19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,

20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,

21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

Whenever you trust in flesh, you produce work.

Romans 10: 3- 5

3 For they being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.

4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.

5 For Moses describeth the righteousness which is of the law, That the man which doeth those things shall live by them.

In the New Covenant, people who believe in Jesus receive righteousness. In the Old Covenant, as per Moses Law, people who do the work receive righteousness.

Jesus fulfilled the law, so we are enjoying Jesus’ righteousness. Jesus performed every law.

Matthew 5:13

13 Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men

You are the salt but Jesus is the flavor, said Pastor Sajith Joseph. If you lose flavor, you are of no use.

Matthew 5:14

14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.

You are the candle, Jesus is the light. Without Jesus, you are nothing, quoted Pastor Sajith. If God has lighted you, nobody can stop you. You will shine forth.

Matthew 5:16

16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

You are doing good works because Jesus is inside you.

You must have not only faith but also works. Whatever your weakness, come to Jesus. He can make you righteous. We are worthy to be condemned but through Jesus, we are victorious.

John 19:28-30

28 After this, Jesus knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the scripture might be fulfilled, saith, I thirst.

29 Now there was set a vessel full of vinegar: and they filled a spunge with vinegar, and put it upon hyssop, and put it to his mouth.

30 When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.

Matthew 5:19

19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

Colossians 2:14-16

14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;

15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.

After the sermon, he prayed for the people. He prophesied over individuals accurately, as he called out their spouse’s name and the problems they were facing.

Praise God for an awesome time 🙂
