Thomas Diary - A walk through my life

7th June 2014, Saturday

On Saturday, I attended the Family Blessing meeting at the Jesus Calls Prayer Tower, Midview city, Bishan. After beautiful Praise and Worship, Pastor Deva Asir, from the Faith Word Assembly, Madurai shared the Word of God.

1 Timothy 2:4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

There are 3 states of Salvation: Saved, Being Saved, and will be Saved.

We are a Spirit, Soul, and Body. We are saved in the spirit. We are being saved in the soul. We will be saved in the flesh during the second coming of Jesus Christ. Apostle Paul says, if a man is in Christ, he is a new creation, meaning, the spirit within is renewed.

We shouldn’t stop at Cross. Beyond the Cross, there is a glorious throne. Without the Cross, we cannot go to the Throne. Do not be struck at the Cross, we must journey to the Throne.

John 8:32  And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

You and I, must desire to know the truth. You must worship, but you must not stop there. You need to read the Word of God also. The Word of God is your food.

Jesus is also known as the Word of God. John 1:14 14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

How do you unite with the Word?

We are created in the image of God. We must have an equal desire to feed the spirit man like the way we look after the body. What food can we give to the spirit man? We must feed the spirit man with the Word of God. We must read, meditate, and understand the Word of God. Only when we are rooted in the Word of God, we can unite with God, we can survive. Being united is very important. If we don’t become one, our life becomes meaningless. Our roots must be deep in the Word of God. Only such people will prosper, said Pastor Deva Asir.

John 15: 1-4

I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman. Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit. Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you. Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.

After the sermon, people came forward for prayers. Praise God for a wonderful time.
