Holy Spirit is the master evangelist. He convicts sin in the heart of the people.
Acts 1:8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.
The Spirit of the Lord upon us makes us like men and women of fire.
Matthew 3:11 “I baptize you with[a] water for repentance. But after me comes one who is more powerful than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with[b] the Holy Spirit and fire.
Jesus came to baptize with the fire of Holy Spirit to empower us. When the day of pentecost came, it was fulfilled. First came the wind, then the fire.
You are created for the fire of God. He created us for the Gospel. Our hearts are to be the fire places of the Holy Spirit.
Why the wind first? To blow out all the ash and trash and then the fire comes.
On the upper room, there were 120 people, men and women. There appeared divided tongues of fire upon each one of them. All were filled with the Holy Spirit. The anointing is for all.
Tongues of fire sat upon each one of them. Tongues of fire connected with the tongues of flesh. And they began to speak in other languages as the Holy Spirit enabled.
The fire of the Holy Spirit solves many problems. When the Holy Spirit fell, they began to speak the languages of the world. The Holy Spirit has not come just for Israel but for us as well. The flame came from the throne of Heaven. God does not manufacture flames. Our God is not a duplicator but the Creator. He works with originals. Every human being has a different finger print. He always makes originals.
That’s why it’s wrong to wish you have anointing of somebody else. You would get your own flame. When the fire falls, you would get the anointing that the Lord wants you to have. God needs variety so that we can fulfill the destiny God has for us.
My flame bears my name. The authority is same, it came from the same Source. You may be weak outwardly but you have the whole heaven with you.
John 14:15 If you love me, keep my commands.
The anointing which you have received abides with you forever. The search for a new anointing paralysis you as you always feel inadequate.
The Holy Spirit is a person. He is the third person of the Trinity. No person appears in percentages and so is Jesus. Jesus is always fully present. His Spirit is fully present.
The day of Pentecost is the incarnation of the Holy Spirit. When the Holy Spirit fell, He wrapped Himself in the flesh of 120 people and announced His arrival through their tongues. Our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit.
He needs us to express Himself to the world. We are His mouth, His feet. We are His body. We come in the glorious power of the Holy Spirit. He lives in us. He speaks to us. He works every miracle, even in the ministry of Jesus.
If Jesus needed that anointing, we too need that anointing. Some people struggle to receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit for one reason: They think they are not worthy to receive this precious Holy Spirit. I have got good news. If you are washed in the Blood of Jesus, that’s the only requirement. You’re qualified to receive the glorious baptism of the Holy Spirit.
Our weaknesses does not repel the Holy Spirit but attracts the Holy Spirit. He gives power to those who have no might.
John 14:16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever—
When Jesus prays for you, you can be assured your prayers will be answered.
Receiving the Holy Spirit means receiving Jesus Christ Himself. We cannot pass on the Holy Spirit to others, that’s the prerogative of Jesus Christ. We are salvation Evangelists not Healing Evangelists.
Gifts of the Holy Spirit comes with the baptism of the Holy Spirit. There are more than 9 gifts of the Holy Spirit.
We can serve God in all cultures provided we cast out devil out of that culture. We are a rescue team. Jesus spoke more on hell than on heaven. Not to threaten, but to warn. You warn a friend, threaten an enemy. We shouldn’t be shy to mention it. Faith is the power switch in the ministry. Move in faith and power flows.
If God has not spoken, it’s presumptuous to act. If God has spoken, it’s presumptuous not to act.
If you grab the Word of God and act upon it, God’ll honor it.
Preach the Gospel and He will honor it and He will honor you and ministry. And your ministry will be the chariot of the Holy Spirit.
After the sermon, Reinhard Bonnke prayed for the baptism of the Holy Spirit upon the congregation. People shouted in one loud voice Alleluia, praised God, and spoke in tongues. The Presence of God was awesome.
