Thomas Diary - A walk through my life

03-April-2016, Sunday, Suntec Convention Center

I enjoyed this week’s message by Pastor Kong  “Turn your face to Jesus”.

Isaiah 38: 1-4

In those days Hezekiah was sick and near death. And Isaiah the prophet, the son of Amoz, went to him and said to him, “Thus says the Lord: ‘Set your house in order, for you shall die and not live.’”
2 Then Hezekiah turned his face toward the wall, and prayed to the Lord, 3 and said, “Remember now, O Lord, I pray, how I have walked before You in truth and with a loyal heart, and have done what is good in Your sight.” And Hezekiah wept bitterly.
4 And the word of the Lord came to Isaiah, saying, 5 “Go and tell Hezekiah, ‘Thus says the Lord, the God of David your father: “I have heard your prayer, I have seen your tears; surely I will add to your days fifteen years. 6 I will deliver you and this city from the hand of the king of Assyria, and I will defend this city.”’

We turn our faces to situations, except towards the Wall, said Pastor Kong. He asked the audience to focus only on Jesus when you face problems and not towards any man.

Hebrews 12:2 looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

 Isaiah 41:10

Fear not, for I am with you;Be not dismayed, for I am your God.I will strengthen you,Yes, I will help you,I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’

Psalm 107:20

He sent His word and healed them,And delivered them from their destructions.

 1 Samuel 30:6

6 Now David was greatly distressed, for the people spoke of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and his daughters. But David strengthened himself in the Lord his God.

3 things King Hezekiah did:

  1. He turned to the wall.
  2. He was intense in his prayer.
  3. He quoted scripture.
Isaiah 43:26 – Put Me in remembrance;Let us contend together;State your case, that you may be acquitted.
Isaiah 38:3  – and said, “Remember now, O Lord, I pray, how I have walked before You in truth and with a loyal heart, and have done what is good in Your sight.” And Hezekiah wept bitterly.
James 5:16 Confess your trespasses[a] to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.
Hebrews 5:7 who, in the days of His flesh, when He had offered up prayers and supplications, with vehement cries and tears to Him who was able to save Him from death, and was heard because of His godly fear,

Pray until there is a breakthrough. Fervent prayer must be private, passionate, and persistent said Pastor Kong.

Matthew 11:12 12 And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force.

Keep a loyal heart, 100% for God. After the sermon, the anointing was awesome as he prayed for sick. Praise God for the beautiful time.
