Halong Bay

03-04, Nov 2016, Day 3 & 4, Vietnam

Halong Bay is a cluster of beautiful islands located in the Quang Ninh province, about 4 hours drive from Hanoi. We had booked two nights and one day tour on the V-Spirit cruise. The food was excellent. The beauty was amazing as we entered the colony of islands all around us. The scenery was breath-taking. All around us were the sight of small islands.

We first went to the Sung Sot cave, one of the biggest and finest caves of Halong Bay. A profusion of stalactites and stalagmites can be seen all over the caves.

Our next destination was Ti-Top island. Abigail enjoyed playing in waters. So I left them playing on the beach while I climbed the mountain to get a bird’s eye view of the bay. The steps were arduous and made me breathless, but once I reached the top, I was captivated by the tranquility and the serenity all around. The beauty was beyond description.

The next day, early morning after breakfast, we went for kayaking. We paddled through islets for about an hour. It was fun.

Psalm 19:1 The heavens declare the glory of God; And the firmament shows His handiwork.

Psalm 104:24-25

O Lord, how manifold are Your works!
In wisdom You have made them all.
The earth is full of Your possessions—
25 This great and wide sea,
In which are innumerable teeming things,
Living things both small and great.

Psalm 8:1

O Lord, our Lord,
How excellent is Your name in all the earth,
Who have set Your glory above the heavens!

Psalm 139: 7

Where can I go from Your Spirit?
Or where can I flee from Your presence?

Psalm 148:7-9

7 Praise the Lord from the earth,
You great sea creatures and all the depths;
8 Fire and hail, snow and clouds;
Stormy wind, fulfilling His word;
9 Mountains and all hills;
Fruitful trees and all cedars;

Psalm 148:13

Let them praise the name of the Lord,
For His name alone is exalted;
His glory is above the earth and heaven

Psalm 95: 5

The sea is His, for He made it;
And His hands formed the dry land.
